Opera 7.50 Crash Test Dummy Edition
Hi,Here's a new toy to play with for the my.opera.com and opera.beta fans:
[url]http://snapshot.opera.com/windows/w750p5.html (NOTE: new URL)
It's a limited newsgroup/my.opera release and may be less stable than
regular beta releases.
- What we need: Crash logs, reproduceable crashers, other information
about instability in general. We're particularly interested in stability
related to browsing.
- What we know: Known instability with newsfeeds and IRC DCC file sending.
- Where to discuss and report: opera.beta and my.opera.com.
Have fun!

I'd rather it to hide when there are NO windows. I mean I like the idea, but it just means I can't click on the tab, when ie: im in the mail maximized view, to close it anymore.. was useful. And don't tell me to untick "Show only when needed", because I don't want the icky empty bar

Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't.![]()
My initial post I'm quoting here was based on observation of chat tabs/pages being open at the same time as regular web pages. Moving chat tabs amongst the web page tabs seems to be more of a problem than just having all web page tabs and moving them around amongst themselves only.

I was using Beta 1 not trying version 3748.
However, I had some problems importing those into Opera 7.50b. No problems with the contacts, that workt well, but with the bookmarks: Only folders were imported, no subfolders and so. That meant that I suddenly had one swedish and one english vesion of the same bookmarks, but nothing of what I myself had put in the folders! Maybe something for the developers to look into... ...or maybe I'll have to learn more.

Trying to log in (I tried Opera Web Mail) it worked very well the first time. Then I would check my other Opera Web Mail account (same page), but the user name and password squares locked, so that I couldn't change the accounts name.
Is this some new security thing or a bug, or am I just stupid?
I had to disable the wand to read the mail from all my accounts..

I'm getting HTML code instead of images displaying, for instance.
You can compare the newsfeed messages from [url]http://z.about.com/6/g/email/b/index.xml for example in Build 3733 vs. Build 3748.

Confirmed, and then when restarted Opera, sounds don't work (Preferences > sounds > enable program sounds ) on events I have set.

It looks like Opera's (7.23, 7.50) uploading causes lags, while Mozilla and IE on same machine (windows 2k/xp) don't. It has been tested on 8 machines/networks. Uploading via local or remote proxy lags too. Its irrelevant to winsock version (changed in ini). Setting up NetLimiter to the maximum upload speed for internet connection solves the problem.

My CTD recognized my registartion.

Only when?
Not certain what happened here yet. I had Opera set to show the pagebar only when needed, then had shutdown and later restarted Opera, and the page bar stayed hidden regardless of how many windows were open. Seems to be okay right now, but I wonder if it will stay that way ...Showing topic replies 1 - 50 of 118.
