Replacing searchbox with a button

Hi

I hope you can help me... I'm trying to emulate in Opera the omnibar features of Chrome Plus

omnibar.jpg

As you can see in taht browser there is a simple button in the adressfield that let you choose from a dropdown menu witch search engine to use. I wonder if is it possible make a button with the same feature to replace the searchbox. I want place it after the adressfield so if clicked you can search the adressfield content with the default search engine, or you can eventually choose from the submenu another searchengine (from the installed ones)

Tanks in advance smile

PS
I know that you can use keywords, so please don't suggest me this (or other alternative) way. smile

As far as I know, no. It may be possible to create a button that can change default search engine, but I do not have any experience in that so it is just an idea.
