10.5+ Old-style address bar
Please make a possibility to switch address bar dropdown in old-style!New is not suitable. It shows only 5-8 positions against 15-20 in previous Opera versions. Also it requires to take aim and click if I want to view all lines (but I always want to view all !), that makes me feel uncomfortable.
I am an Opera fan for years, but I will not upgrade to new version until address bar will look as now.
There is the similar theme.
In this post it is all summed up, why an old address bar was better: http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=420371
Please, make it a choice...

To me a lot of things in Opera 10.5/6 feel like one step forward and two steps back. The old address bar was definitely more efficient and I'd love to see it return as an option.
I would like to add my voice to those in support of this idea.
Perhaps the best idea would be to actually create a system similar to the Skin system, designed to allow users to choose the structure of the Address Bar dropdown system. That way, if someone comes up with an idea for an even better dropdown system, they can create their own version.
If this is too complex, I'd like to at least see a few switches... first would be a "Toggle 'Show More' options" switch, which would enable or disable the "Show 17 more..." options - if disabled with the current arrangement, using Tab would switch between the three categories (search, bookmarks, history), and Bookmarks and History would take up equal space unless there were fewer than sufficient entries on one of them to fill up half the space.
Second would be a "Search option position" switch, with options of "top", "bottom", and "off". This is pretty self-explanatory. Third would be a "Addressbar dropdown layout", which would at least have the options of "inline" (old style), "barred" (current style), and perhaps "boxed" (I'm picturing a setup that is kind of like the Speed Dial, but showing results, perhaps even getting pictures if possible).
Fourth, there would be "Addressbar dropdown order", which would have the options of "Bookmarks, History", "History, Bookmarks", or "Mixed Results". And finally, there would be "Addressbar dropdown sort", with options "Recent" (sort by time of last visit), "Frequent" (sort by frequency of visit), "Lexicographical" (like a dictionary), and "Depth". The last option would place priority on addresses of lesser depth (www.site.com/ would have depth 0, www.site.com/directory1/ would have depth 1, and so on), with lexicographical order applying to addresses of the same depth.
That should be sufficient to allow people to format it the way that suits them, without going overboard on options, in my opinion.

That would be great! Simple window with few checkboxes to select what data/links to display (and maybe ability to order/prioritize them with possibility, in case of history, to select time-order)... but looking at search engine management abilities I don't think it's gonna happen soon

After more than one year with the new address bar dropdown style, I definitively confirm it sucks.
I am using all days v11.50 on my Windows PC, and v10.10 and my Linux one (and i will NEVER upgrade it as long as we cannot choose to get back the old style), so I guess my opinion is well-considered.

I jumped from 9.64 to 11.50. And now I miss the old address bar! I can maybe get used to the grayed-out address, but what I really miss is the button on the right side that you could click and get a drop-down menu of earlier typed addresses.

Yes. A lot of users missed that. Even if most use it only occasionally, it makes no sense to remove it. Did anyone ever complain about the loss of those 10 pixels in the address field?
