Multiprotocol chat?

Hi, the side panel is very useful and I am using almost every part of it. I like that I am able to have e-mails into the browser, also with some added panels I could use some chat clients. But I want the natural one, because it is part of opera and is very simple and good looking. So I am wondering if the devs are thinking to allow using gtalk/icq/yahoo/etc protocols to be used in the chat config (except the irc)? That would be great and I am sure that many people will enjoy it!
Thanks.

Opera did have an ICQ client integrated back in version 5 or so. But ICQ kept changing the protocol, so Opera stopped supporting it.

You should have a look at Bitlbee though - it might be what you are looking for: http://www.bitlbee.org/main.php/news.r.html

Hey, thanks for the response. I am able to find external way to use the other protocols. I have panel for even Skype. I know that the Skype protocol is not open, but the rest are... smile
