Gmail on 10.51 in win 7 crashes all the time
It seems that every time I load GMAIL, 10.51 crashes completely. It looks to happen around the time that the calendar add-on (from google labs) loads. I tried removing cookies/cache. Occasionally it does work (for instance, after a completely clean install of opera from scratch), but for the most part it crashes as soon as gmail is loaded.any fixes for this?
I had problems with Opera crashing once the chat client loaded ... I had the labs feature that moved the chat to the right side of the screen. Try loading Gmail without the labs feature, and see if it still crashes...if it doesn't, I would say that something with the labs feature is awry.
update: solved the problem - apparently Adobe shockwave was causing the crashes. I notied that a shockwave error box popped up for a split second just before the browser crashed. Uninstalled shockwave and now it's fine.
First off, i dont know why gmail uses shockwave, and second, while I don't need shockwave right now, I can see needing it for some sites at some point so it would be good to isolate/fix this issue.
