mplayerplug-in installation fails (Gentoo)

Hello,
I've got a problem with this: http://www.opera.com/docs/linux/plugins/install/#mplayer. When I try to ./configure --enable-x [--with-gecko-sdk=???]. The gecko-sdk package can't be found in package list. Maybe it is installed by mozilla-firefox (not sure), but I do not know, where.

I use Gentoo.

The error message is:
configure: error: xpidl compiler not found

After some warnings:
checking for mozilla-plugin mozilla-xpcom... configure: WARNING: mozilla-plugin not found
checking for firefox-plugin firefox-xpcom... configure: WARNING: firefox-plugin not found
checking for seamonkey-plugin seamonkey-xpcom... configure: WARNING: seamonkey-plugin not found
checking for xulrunner-plugin xulrunner-xpcom... configure: WARNING: xulrunner-plugin not found
These are also missing packages (maybe not needed).

xpidl exists:
/usr/lib64/xulrunner-1.9.1/xpidl (this is not the gecko-sdk library of course)

I've downloaded gecko-sdk from https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Gecko_SDK, but there is no installation guide. I've an older version of that as known after extract and checked files: my one is 1.9.1 and that is 1.9.2. It doesn't cause the problem, I think.

So:
I've installed firefox before and gecko-mediaplayer to play online movies (works fine). Not found any correct way on the internet to setup opera. There is another player (RealPlayer) on page I linked before, but no installation guide - strange.

Questions:
Where is my gecko-sdk, if exists? Else: how can I install?
How can I solve xpidl problem?
Can I use another mediaplayer in Opera? Which one (RealPlayer, VLC, other)? Where can be found installation guide? Searched a lot but not found.

Thanks for answers.

Regards,
operamarci

Hello operamarci,

i don't know if you solve your problem, but one solution for gentoo is:

emerge www-plugins/gecko-mediaplayer

because the mplayerplug-in is now gecko-mediaplayer.
By the way, the vlc-plugins are working in opera too.
