My Opera Password rejected on one computer but accepted on another

My password is rejected for several weeks now on my host XP Pro SP2 computer with Opera 10.51. I can log in to Opera Unite on that computer with the SAME PASSWORD as for My Opera but I do NOT get logged into My Opera when I log into Unite. Used to I could login to Unite and that would also log me into My Opera. Now, I can login to Unite but I do NOT see my avatar and I am NOT logged into My Opera.

So, I go to My Opera page and try to login there. My password is rejected but it is the same password as for Unite where it is accepted!

To add more strangeness, if I boot my XP virtual machine with Opera 10.51 and login there to Unite, I get logged into My Opera also. The password is the SAME PASSWORD ON BOTH COMPUTERS. So, why is my password rejected at My Opera login on my host computer but accepted on the guest virtual computer? Why is the password accepted for Opera Unite login on my host computer but not accepted for My Opera on that computer?

How do fix this? I want to be logged into to both Unite and My Opera on my host machine like I used to be. I don't know what messed it up. One day I just couldn't login to My Opera on the host machine. I'm posting this from my virtual XP machine where I can login.

My first guess would be a cookie problem. Flush cookies, cache, and history for a clean start. Or... Do you have passwords remembered for you? At any rate, there is some corrupt data lurking in one Opera profile that isn't in the other.

Are you still experiencing difficulties logging in? This issue should be fixed now.

I had to close Opera and restart THREE times just now on my XP host machine before myopera.com would offer me any cookies. That was the problem. I had no cookies from myopera.com and wasn't being offered any when I would try to login. I have cookie preferences set to accept cookies only from sites I visit and to ask before accepting. I also had to clear all tabs as restarting from last session somehow was blocking the offering of the cookies even though I did close myopera tab before exiting Opera but had not been clearing all tabs. (I ALWAYS continue from last session with about 50 tabs loading, so maybe all along not clearing the tabs had something to do with this problem).

I finally got Opera to offer me cookies at myopera.com and as soon as I accepted them I was logged in and can see my avatar. I am so glad that problem is fixed!!! Thank you!!

It is MESSED UP again! Yesterday, I could no longer login on 10.51. Just now, I got the prompt to upgrade to 10.53. I did so and STILL CANNOT LOGIN TO MYOPERA. I can login to Unite but, as before, I have no avatar on my Unite admin page.

Besides fixing this once and for all, would you please also fix the login button on both the forum and myopera.com main page? "Lost password" is almost totally covering the login button. I can barely find a spot to click on. I am not using large fonts either.

Thank goodness, I still have a copy of 10.0 as that is what I am using to get logged in here so I can report this problem has happened AGAIN.

I wish I had never upgraded from 10.10. It worked perfectly and Unite and login here both worked perfectly. Since 10.10, I have had so many problems with Opera that I have found myself using Fx a lot. I think you are rushing new versions.
