Opera refuses to login to facebook
My Opera v10.51 won't login my facebook account. When i load the page a security error pops, stating that "the server's certificate did not match its hostname, Accept?" and then when i have clicked accept, or reject (the same thing happens regardless) it continues to oad the facebook login page, and then when i have input my e-mail address and password, and login, it asks me to log in again, (exactly the same way it does when you've input the incorrect password) and it'll keep asking you, i have checked many times to make sure the password is correct. The certificate error only pops up once, if i reload the facebook page and input my password again, the certificate error wont pop up, but it still wont login to facebook, even if i close the tab, then re-open it, the certificate error still won't appear. The error only appears the first time. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as my facebook account is very important to me. I have attached screenshots of the certificate error pop-up. certificate error.bmpdetails.bmpThanks guys.
The certificate appears to be valid and you shouldn't have to worry about a virus with that. Akamai is simply a company that helps to host files for companies with frequently visited website, like FB. (From the little I quickly researched.) If it appears again, accept the certificate otherwise FB may load improperly.
As for not being able to login, its most likely a corrupted cache/cookie file, so I suggest deleting your cache and cookies.
Either:
"O" menu > Settings > Delete Private Data...
or
Tools > Delete Private Data...

Opera Stable | Windows 8.1 x64
Seems the only way to fix this (temporarily) is to delete the cookies and do a restart.
I have also found that it's more likely that I will not be able to log in to facebook if I open Opera with the facebook tab open and I does not log in right away.
It's annoying since the previous version of Opera didn't have this problem.
My more permanent solution was to just use Firefox for all my web surfing
