How do you share bookmarks between platforms?
How do you share bookmarks between platforms?I have sorted out RSS feeds (see below) but have not come up with a good solution for bookmarks yet.
Anyone out there have a good idea?
I mainly use IE on my PC and my main copy of the bookmarks is the Favorites folder so any intermediate stage / website would have to automatically upload my favs or be as easy to use as the Favorites folder if I was going to use that exclusively.
RSS feeds.
I have my RSS feeds in Google Reader, I can look at them on my PC and read the full feed.
If I dont have time to read thw whole story I can use the 'send to' button to send the link to Instapaper.
On my phone (Nokia 5230) I use Gravity - it is a Twitter and Google Reader client.
I can read my RSS on that and if I want to read the whole story it to has the ability to send links to Instapaper.
Then in Opera I have a speeddial to Instapaer so I can easily get to my unread stuff.

I have tried to use Opera 10.51 desktop to copy my IE Favorites folder (imported into Opera) into the Opera Mini folder, so they can get synchronized with my Opera Mini on the iPhone by Opera Link, but I simply cannot do that. I tried it both on Windows 7 and Windows XP.
The only thing I am allowed to do is copy bookmarks from the IE folder one by one. Since I have a lot of them, it would take me forever. Until I can copy the whole IE Favorites folder into the Opera Mini folder, Safari is still my best choice (I don't even need to copy any folder, just sync in iTunes with everything else).

I will probably have to go for some intermediate site to store the bookmarks but will need to get one that is :-
a) 'simple' so easily displays on phone
b) has a plugin / extension for my desktop browser so bookmarks are synced automatically.
The reason for not using the Opera sync is it does not work properly in Mini.

How about copying all your links in your favorite into your email?

Using http://www.xmarks.com/ there is a system tray program that syncs your bookmarks with there server and you can access your bookmarks online and on a mobile.
If you can install the sync utility on multiple computers then you can sync your bookmark on all of them using different profiles to sync / not sysnc certain folders i.e. keep those 'certain' bookmarks of your work computer but sync everything else.
