Better system integration on Mac before 10.5x final, please!
I'm playing with build 8333 on OS X 10.5.8 PPC and am amazed at how quickly the PPC version was transformed into a really usable browser. Kudos to the team
I share some other users' dismay over some of the functional design changes and have mentioned them elsewhere in the forums. I think I will probably be able to adjust to them over time and don't view them (any more, hehe) as serious problems. I would like to point out that this build does have at least two serious system integration faults that I sincerely hope are corrected before Opera decides to announce a "final" build. One is integration with Services and the other is the ability to handle launch calls from other applications. This latter problem has existed in the beta phase of the last few versions of Opera and in version 10.0 was not corrected through at least a few final version point upgrades. As I said, I'm thrilled at how the PPC version has suddenly jelled, but I hope the speed of progress doesn't create a rush to release a premature "final" which lacks this critical functionality!Forums » Opera for Windows/Mac/Linux » Beta testing (including snapshots and previews)
