syntax highlighting?

Is it possible to have syntax highlighting for programming languages such as C++ when displaying source code on my.opera blogs? The code tag is somewhat dry.

No... not automatically anyways, it's not really a coding website, so it doesn't really need it...

But you should be able to find a <a href="http://softwaremaniacs.org/soft/highlight/en/">UserJS</a> solution (quick Google, I'm sure there are others) However, that's only for your reading pleasure...lol, no one elses.

I've filed an enhancement suggestion for it. I can't promise anything, though. smile

Thanks for submitting the suggestion. I need C++ BTW. But I'll take any C style highlighting I can take.

Here's one I like. It's open source and has all the syntax highlighting you could want.

Hope it goes through - would be a nice to have in the next My.Opera update.

Shouldn't be too hard to implement, there are already several fine, light-wighted, progressive enhancement JS in the web, that do it in a very nice way. Some even come with a very free license, so there should be no need to invent the wheel again. If someone has switched JS off or if the UA isn't capable to display it, it falls back to the old code tag behavior, so no harm done.
