Wand issue

I am using 10.52 build 3363 and am having trouble with the wand/password manager
When I enter the username and password on a site the main window drops a little and I assume there should be an option to save the info to wand.dat or not. Instead the whole area is blank then disappears after a few seconds. Passwords already saved work ok but I cannot add any more.

Setting the 'Speed Dial State' to 3 in the Preference Editor will cause this.

i have another wand issue. in that case, my old saved passwords don't automatically log in after clicking the wand button. to log in i have to click the wand button, go into the password editor, delete the entry that had previously been for that website, and then manually click login/hit enter. i then get asked if i want to save that password information. this was a password file from opera 10.2 and i'm not sure why it is acting this way.
