Opera 10.52b2 (Build 8333, Mac): High CPU load while scrolling
Hi,I'm using Opera build 8333 on MacOS 10.6.3. When scrolling quickly through larger sites, CPU load rises up to 50 % (on both cores), preventing the CPU from entering deeper sleep states. This costs up to 1/3 of my battery run time while surfing.
In pre 10.5 versions I never noticed this high CPU loads during simple surf sessions, seems to be a consequence of the new smooth scrolling feature (wich, by the way, is not always "smooth" in the sense of the word, but that might be a topic for a different thread).
I don't know if this problem should be reported as a bug (maybe it already is?) or if its only a inevitable downside of the smooth scrolling feature, but I would be very happy, if this could be fixed before final version launch because besides this issue 10.5 feels like a great release. If smooth scrolling does necessarily need this much CPU time, maybe it could be made optional.
