Using Opera to speed up Dialup service? or Change MSIE user agent?
A retired family member is using a dial-up service, and I'm wondering if Opera for XP desktop uses the Opera servers (as the mobile versions do) to provide a faster web surfing experience to the XP desktop users by compressing the site and sending it through to the browser.Since this is a retired person, ideally I'd like to let her keep using Internet Explorer (I think it's 6 or 7) and be able to easily change the User Agent to identify as a mobile so she gets the smaller, "mobile" versions of websites. So if anyone knows a way to do that, it would be great--I realize this is an Opera community but maybe someone here had to deal with this before switching to Opera.

The desktop version has Opera Turbo, which is disabled by default.
