3 threads got locked = bye bye my opera welcome firefox

Ok the last 3 threads that i have posted in this forum have been locked and 1 message have been deleted and my pool results have been changed...

I realy dont see the point in having this forum is each and everytime i write something is gets locked.

So 3 locks in a rows does it for me.
I cant speak to people in here about the problems im having with opera so i dont think i will be using opera anymore after this bad experience.
I was happy about opera until i upgraded til 10.51 that why i came in here to speak to other people are some problems...

But it dossent matter now i have startet using mozilla firefox. Dont know if they have a forum like this but if they do i hope i feel welcome over there course i dont get that feeling in here for sure.

You probably didn't follow the forum guidelines. For starters, there are forums where you can go to ask other forum members for aid while describing a problem.

You post stupid threads that get locked so you switch software browsers. Your logic astounds me.

You know, many of the forum mods aren't even Opera employees... just volunteers.

By all means shove off to the lesser browser as you do have an element of choice dear boy. Seems to me as has been suggested here that perhaps you jumped in without thinking of the boundaries perhaps? You don't live in a free for all without any restrictions so why expect the same anarchy here? I do recall a reasonably harmles long termer here who had a thread stopped which any average person could see was innoculous but it isn't an every day occurence. So by all means shove off to the lesser browser as you do have an element of choice dear boy. In fairness I realised that noting where you come from which is in a banana republic state anarchy may be the daily norm. If you find a forum anywhere without some rules then I might praise Glasgow Celtic but reckon I am on sure ground so off you toddle.

Let's see him post threads like that on a Firefox forum

Then when his threads get deleted, he’ll make a thread on how he's switching to Chrome

I have to imagine that the Firefox forums are less forgiving than Opera forums, honestly.

LOL, let's see you pull these stunts of yours over at the Mozilla forums. You'll be banned within seconds.

You think MozillaZine is more forgiving of blatant violations of the rules? Think again.

Because you don't follow the forum rules. They apply to us all, if we don't follow rules then expect to get closed or deleted threads.

Jahsss. The insanity of bugzilla.mozilla.org is BEYOND frustrating. A bug can be two years old, with fifty comments, testcases and proposed patches. Then some flippant mod marks it as a DUPLICATE of a bug posted a week ago, and locks the topic! My general impression? A mass of bored college students who don't like your criticism.

MyOpera is one of the friendlier forums, and perhaps half of the active users have a high level of technical proficiency. The Private Message system is active (and respondents tend to be cordial), plus there are IRC and newsgroup venues for targeted discussion. What I like about the social side of Opera's staff, is that they have a sense of humor and also provide many ways to contact them.

Perhaps you should participate in news.opera.com; only adspam seems to be deleted from there.

But Chrome doesn't have a forum. So he'd have no one to complain his nonsense to.

Kind of a third ring of hell of the forums, you mean? First the Lounge was created for them off-topic types. Then D&D for them ornery types that didn't behave nicely and friendly, often humorous and fun. Now you want a padded basement for them truly anti-social types?

I had a look at your posting history. First, each and every time you write hasn't been locked, but several of your posts have. The latter ones complaining about threads being locked have. That is not surprising, as this is directly against the forum rules (rule 7), as is this thread incidentally. I could have locked it, but have decided against it. For the time being anyway. This rule 7 can be experienced as a gagging rule, and indeed it is (it stops flaming which otherwise would spill over into ever new threads), but it isn't unique with this forum and it does make a lot of sense.

The deleted thread wasn't deleted because of you, but that isn't much of a consolation. We have to delete threads from time, but it is annoying to the ones posting before the thread went downhill. The reset poll is a pure bug in my opinion. If a poll is modified it would have to be reset as the ones that had voted before the change would have voted under different circumstances, but the poll is also reset if the (mostly unrelated) post has been changed.

I think we moderators could be more polite and friendly than we sometimes are, but we have a job to do and limited time to do it.

As well you should. Excellent standings in the league. Yes, I do know who's in first place right now though....p My real surprise is that this thread about him crying for having his threads locked hasn't been locked as well.....yet

Ok, two things that surprise me. In American Football, teams go up and down in standings year to year. This years Superbowl Champion might come in last place next year. In the SPL, why is always either the Rangers or the Celtic..and the one that isn't in first place is in 2nd? confused I would expect one or both of them might have what's refered to on this side of the pond as a "rebuilding" season.

Maybe I can interest the OP in this new, revolutionary browser. It's called Not-a-virus. It has all the features of Opera and then some. To install it just run the not-a-virus.exe file. PM me for a link. It's very exclusive.
