Improve the download window
In my opinion this is one aspect of Opera that is inferior to other browsers: the download window.I think it needs a major redesign. How it needs to be redesigned, I don't know, but it does need to be I think.
Does anyone else agree with me?
Should the download window be redesigned?

Also, it'd be nice if there was a button that cleared all finished downloads, instead of having to right-click one of the entries in the list (you can't right-click the whitespace below) and click "Remove all finished".
A "copy download link" context menu item like in FF would be cool, too. I haven't used FF in ages but I liked this feature and often need it in Opera. Right now you can only copy all of the file info in Opera, not just the download URL.
A pause / stop button next to each download entry in the download list would be convenient as well.

Perhaps add an option to turn it into a smaller pop-up window instead of a tab (my bad if you can already do this). Kind of like FF's download window.
Right click the tab, Arrange, Restore.

They clear themselves after an allotted time period, it' s somewhere in the settings.

Not a bad idea, I've needed this maybe once or twice in the past.

Not really all that important as there's already buttons for this at the top, but okay.

To include a custom button:
- e.g. go to: this page
- Click a Remove all finished button
- Go to your download tab
- Right click toolbar -> Customize
- Drag remove all finished button to your toolbar (Buttons -> My Buttons)
I personally always add a mouse gesture to do this:
- Settings->Preferences->Shortcuts->Mouse setup->Edit
- Add the gesture to Transfer Panel.
- Input: GestureUp, GestureLeft
- Actions: Remove all finished transfers
I like the (Up; left) gesture because it combines nicely with the close tab gesture (down; right).
I.e. draw a box to clear downloads and close the tab.

I have the same button but it is named Cleanup, does the exact same but you beat me to it! Thanks for the link though as I can use this one on another Opera install I haven't fully customized.

What's wrong with it? What's missing from it that's in other browsers?
What dertbox said. AFAIK, Opera's download manager is superior to Firefox, Chrome, and IE in every way.

Stop is pause. You can continue the download after pressing stop, unless the website doesn't let you to do so.
If keeping the download list for longer could become a problem inside opera, simply make it a settings choice, for how long one would like to keep it, and from which time limit upwards, the list should automatically be truncated, exported and saved outside opera (path choice), so that it does not have to be loaded completely and the user can decide up to which limit, he would be prepared to bear the downturns to keeping longer download lists inside opera. My default settings delete the downloads almost daily. Can't find where this could be set to longer.
Though, I'm not entirely sure whether it's possible to resume like that from all sites in any case (JDownloader can only resume downloads on a few sites).
Other than that, I didn't vote on the poll, because OP didn't really suggest anything.
