Need for an Operamail alert system

Following problems with my email access from the Opera Browser I immediately assumed it was all my own fault, cast around for remedies, could not find at that time indications of problems on the www, and, going for the Internet imbecile's (a valid description of myself) solution, restored by computer to an earlier time. That did not solve the problem which did not surprise me one little bit.

After more diligence I found "Opera mail, chat and news" and discovered that others have also recently had problems, which seems to shift the source of my problems away from me.

It occurs to me that it would be a useful resource if, when such problems occur, that a sticky thread be opened whereby an Opera Browser/operamail (at least operamail) official superstar could inform users that there was a problem and told them if it was temporary glitch in the process of being cured, or needed action by users, or even just recommended a good stiff drink.

That would give some very useful and practical guidance on whether to panic or not.

see The DnD Sanctuary for gaming, for discussions on Browsers or anything in particular, and just Lounging about.

For what it's worth, my current problem is that I get the following whenever I ask for my email from the browser. Going via google to the login screen lets me access my email so I know it's not a problem with my email registration as such.

There is a problem with your request.
Pleaser contact customer service for assistance.
Possible errors are:
1. Your account does not exist
2. Your account is suspended

No interest in this idea? --- strange.

On the positive side, for those experiencing difficulty with the POP3 aspects of Operamail, I found out that my registration for the Premium Service was not recorded on the web-based operamail, where3 it thinks I have the free service. This points perhaps to some fault in their registration system. I've sent Operamail a note on this.
edit: yes I did pay the subscription (july last year)!

Is this about the http://operamail.com/ mail provider or Opera's built-in mail client "M2"? If the former, you should search and post here.

If the latter, an alert system shouldn't be needed. The quality of M2 is usually high. It was just messed up in 10.51.

Thank you, sometimes it is difficult to know where to post things. I came to this place simply following through the guidance on operamail help. Maybe I will do that if my remark hasn't been brought up already.

As an aside, having contact the operamail team they informed me that they had been having "server problems" which were now fixed. The access part of my problem appears to be solved.
