No HTML5 Support?

Does opera support HTML5? Using Youtube's HTML5 player which is publicized as "a plugin free way to watch videos" crashes yikes with a message "your browser did not respond to given commands" or something like that, and just dies rip .

Whatever happened to searching before posting?

Opera supports HTML5 and video. It does not, however, support the proprietary, closed and evil H264, which is used by YouTube.
