Font Rendering and Hardware Acceleration

Opera just released a Opera Mobile emulator: http://www.opera.com/developer/tools/

I saw that they use SDL for (font) rendering. This is how the text rendering currently looks like:

Of course this isn't really comparable, but I was wondering how Opera is going to render fonts as soon as we get hardware acceleration.

I really hope that we get a per-OS font rendering (like now) because I really like how Windows renders its fonts, and I guess most people feel the same about their particular OS.
Using Windows 7 64Bit SP1 and of course Opera
(If nothing else stated the most current weekly) on a nice Dell Studio XPS 16!
