[Solved] Addressbar = searchbar ?

Hey everyone,

i've been using Opera for a few months. I like it a lot and it combines lots of good things from other browsers.

Here is some information that you will probably ask me:



So, i'll come to the point. I'd like that my addressbar acts as my searchbar when I type words without domain (.be, .com, .net etc...).
Now, when I type in just 1 word in the addressbar, Opera gives me an error:



But when I type multiple words, I get the wanted effect, Opera redirects my keywords to google and I receive a google search page (on a sidenote, Opera always redirects me to www.google.nl and I do not understand why. I live in belgium but I would like to be redirected to www.google.com)

So finally my question: Is it possible to achieve this effect? To make the Opera addressbar act as a fully qualified searchbar to google, like in chrome for instance? And if so, how can I choose to which search engine I am redirected (yahoo, google.com, google.be etc...)

p.s.: I am aware that I can use keywords (like "g" for google) to search via the addressbar but I find it more usefull to be able to type in my keywords directly in the addressbar.

Update your Opera.

Oops. I don't know if it works in Linux.

Try Opera 10.5x, it works like that. There is no final version yet for Linux, so you will have to get it from Desktop Team blog.

And it is Google that redirect you, not Opera.
