Mostly blank e-mails
I receive a number of mostly blank e-mails. The most recent example is this (with all headers & message shown). They always show a size (7.8 kb in this example), but the only visable part is some limited text with links as this; "Having trouble viewing this email? Please click here" These are mass mailings, not spam, as I requested them (for the most part);I removed all the blank lines from the above C&P to shorten the overly long quote.Return-path: <rpp.em.3a202ef510e2824d31661b98d7fd94b5@em1.ratepoint.com>

Nice to have the feature, but not knowing about it and hiding it isn't 'nice'. Too many 'tweaks' in too many places. It's impossible to keep track and/or remember where everything is.

Can you think of a better place for the option to make it more discoverable?

If you aren't a web designer or a IT manager, 90% of this 'stuff' is confusing since what each setting does is not obvious. Just trying to give a name to something is a real problem. It's hard to describe a problem when you don't know the terminology.
Take this term "external embeds". Why/how would I know that was the problem? It's not practical to do a search for each and every 'term' to see if that might solve a problem.
The more logical location would be under Preferences. Actually, since you mentioned it, 90% of the time when I do go into Preferences, it's the 'Advanced' tab that I go to. 'Preferences' should contain everyting that's in the "Preferences Editor" instead of using a URL to access it.
Why have two "Preferences" locations?

Over the years many have complained that Opera had too many advanced settings that newbies would never used and that they should be elsewhere. So, Opera listened.

You would only know this was a problem if you knew that loading remote content in HTML messages was dangerous and therefore can't be the default. But, even then, this would mostly apply to images, so "block remote images" might be a better name. But, even then, most don't even know the view button on the mail toolbar has a menu (despite it having the menu indicator in the right side of the icon graphic.

Yes, that might be cool if there was a Mail section in the advanced preferences. However, although mail is integrated in Opera, most of its settings are in separate ini files and in separate parts of the UI (as you noticed). Perhaps things can improve in the future.
