I guess you can only find an example by unpacking a unite application and digging through its code. Same issue with me.

I've found a script that does translation under libraries\yusef\plugins\translation\translator.js after unpacking Media Player application. It needs a bit of reworking for use with widgets, but seems to be the very thing we need to make widgets localizeable.
