Suggestions for the status bar. + Proxy checker.

The status bar at the bottom looks good and unobtrusive, but I think putting up a few buttons could help.

1. On hovering the mouse over a tab, it shows it's URL. Instead, showing the full title of the tab would be much more helpful. As of now, I don't know any way to see the full title. (showing the full title would certainly help)

2. The status bar would be a great place to put a proxy changer button (a must have for many of us). Also, while changing proxies in the ctrl f12 menu, there should be an option of using the same proxy server for all protocols (so that one doesn't need to copy paste every time). Please give us a proxy changer button. Using a modified f12 button is not very satisfying.

3. The zoom rocker in the status bar could have more default levels like 'occupy pagewidth' for those thin webpages.

Do you think a proxy changer is required?

Option Results Votes
Yes, that'd be great result bar - $percentage % 100% 2
Would help, but I'm okay with the F12 modification result bar - $percentage % 0% 0
No result bar - $percentage % 0% 0

Another suggestion could be adding buttons to the status bar: like bookmarks. I'd love to have icons for gmail, fb orkut etc right at the bottom of a page.

The status bar could accommodate a small bookmark toolbar, especially if it does not have text and is small enojugh to be stashed in a corner.

I would also like if there was no dark grey area on the status bar (similar to Google Chrome). So there are only the buttons (expanding links info and all that stuff) left on the right and left sides.

I see no reason you can't stick buttons on the status bar already. Just use the appearances dialog and drag a button down there, unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by adding buttons to the status bar.
