Unzip the widget and insert into your page, just be sure that the author doesn't mind.

Many thanks to all. :-)

SpShut, could you please explain your idea in details. Sorry, but I am not really an expert on these things. Thank you!

Rename the wgt file to zip, extract the archive contents and include the page from tha archive as an iframe into your page. But I guess you'll need to tweak the script a bit.

Well, ok, I've done that for you smile. Upload the widget folder to your site and replace the file js/main.js with a bit modified one.
Then insert the game into your page with the following code:

<object data="PATH_TO_YOUR_WIDGET_INDEX.HTML" width="100%" height="400px" type="text/html" ></object>

You can change the width and height as you wish.

And be sure the widget author doesn't mind.

Hi SpShut,

I think your js-file does not function well. The index.html file cannot "read" it, the js-file cannot be activated without the exe-file.
Could you please help?

Many many thanks!

Why does it matter whether or not the author minds? Isn't it up to the user?

Ok, repeat one more time.
  1. Download the widget file to your computer
  2. Rename the file from Widget_Basketball_4575-1.6.wgt to Widget_Basketball_4575-1.6.zip
  3. Unpack the file to a folder, there'll be three new folders and two files
  4. Replace the file js/main.js with this one
  5. Upload all the files and folders from this new folder to some directory on your wordpress site, say YOURSITE.COM/basketballwidget/
  6. Now you can insert the widget into your homepage with the following code:
    <object data="http://YOURSITE.COM/basketballwidget/index.html" width="100%" height="400px" type="text/html" ></object>
  7. Replace YOURSITE.COM with the address of your site
  8. You can change the width and height values in the above code to whatever you like

That seems to be it.

Good point. I guess that I'm used to thinking of these widgets as public domain, even though that isn't the case.

Thanks for the reminder.
