List of Universal Issues with 10.5x

I'm just making a list of the common issues people have with Opera 10.5x. Add a few more by replying below if you want.

  • Opera eats GIGANTIC amount of RAM
  • The now infamous Go Upgrade: Flash warning from Youtube
  • Java problems
  • Login problems with certain websites
  • Regular crashes

Add a few more if you know any. Hopefully, this will allow the developers to fix the problems in the next release.

Just another useless whining post that won't help anyone fix anything.

The "Go upgrade" problem was fixed long ago both at YouTube's end, and by a browser.js upgrade by Opera.

In general, using lots of RAM is good, not bad, but there are some sites I have seen reported where memory use just keeps climbing until Opera freezes. Site problems need to be fixed, or if there is a bug in Opera, the problem needs to be reported properly so that it can be fixed.

Java problems? Where, what version of Java are you using? Too vague to know what the problem might be that you're seeing.

Regular crashes. Again, too vague to do anything with this.

  • Opera eats GIGANTIC amount of RAM - rolleyes RAM is there to be used....why doesn't anyone understand this? More ram installed=more ram used. Why have 4 gigs of ram and bitch when there's 1 gig being used? THAT'S WHAT IT'S THERE FOR.
  • The now infamous Go Upgrade: Flash warning from Youtube. Fixed a while ago.....
  • Java problems. This one i'll agree with....but it's nothing new.
  • Login problems with certain websites. Never had a problem here, so not sure what you mean(unless it's the ppl that have "Don't accept cookies at all" checked, that's the only time I had any login issue.
  • Regular crashes. - Again, no idea....Mine's crashed 2 times in about 2 years. I can live with that.
