Unbloggable at Blogspot
I'm sad to leave Opera, because I love the speed and reliability. Also those annoying debug messages from IE drive me nuts. I'm a blogger, and first had to start using a diff browser for my postings, because my blogger account didn't work with my browser. Now, even visiting my blog I can't see the digital images I have posted. Its just too hard now. Also, I use a website that has a discussion board and I am on the organization's Board of Directors so I talked to our web folks about making it where I can log in and post using Opera. Because it would cost hundreds and Opera's just 2% of the browser market, my nonprofit can't justify the expenditure to make our discussion board to where I can log in. For Opera, the drop-down menu doesn't work.
Also, I use a federal database to do online legal filings in one of the federal court systems. Sad to say, Opera is not a browser tha the system functionality is authorized-for. That means, when I get an email from the court, I can't just click and go. I can't even copy and past it into some other browser because the link won't stay in my clipboard. I have to write down a big long series of number to go there, or else pay for a second 'look and search it from a zillion documents.
These are the reasons that I'm having to say goodbye. I WANT to use Opera, but the world is not yet ready for it. (And what's that thing where I always get "download sun microsystems" requests, so I do and it still won't link up? )
For those whose jobs don't force them to seperate... enjoy! Wish I was with ya!
