Streaming FLV files to your web pages (flash video)
Streaming Flash video files to your web pages to give your visitors a youknowtube like experience on your web page, could not be easier to do with opera unite!! The first thing you will need to do is get your hands on a flv file to stream. you can ether download one from that tube site , or make you own.How do I convert a Windows Media File into a Flash Media File (FLV)?
You use this Free RIVA Flash encoder
To make your own home movie with your camcorer plugged into windows movie maker . After you get a flv file. put it in you media _stream OperaUnite folder. now log in to unite and enter media_stream as a visitor and play the file now stop the player and copy the embed code. paste it to the html page that you want the player to show up on . Save the page with the new code and you are done... the next time a visitor loads the page, the player will load and play your file.
if you go here longtail video you can learn more about how to customize the player to your needs .
One thing that you might want to think about at this point is traffic ... if you plan to invite the whole internet to your computer it might be a good idea to look into a good flash media server service to streams you media .
The Serverroom is one of the better flash server services and they have Quite resonable rate plans starting a 9.95 a month. ( that will keep the traffic load off your computer.)
After you have done all this and figured it all out you are good to go you are now Operatube Kool hu

Why Flash... well because using flash flv files take less harddrive space and two because they play better that wmv files, plus you will be able to handle a bit more traffic on your site.
