[snapshot-6322 fails to launch]opera: failed to install fonts

On one of my installs opera fails to start as follows (removing ~/.opera-testing has no effect)

$ opera-testing
open: Permission denied
opera: failed to install fonts

What distribution do you use?
Permission denied is an error that occurs if there are missing executable flags.
Also, what is opera-testing? Is it a custom script?

He did say Mandriva cooker (their unstable version, as opposed to 2010.0 or 2010.1 beta).

That's correct but mdv cooker is pretty stable by now. Anyway opera-testing is of course what you get when you install opera in an alternative directory from the tarball installer

@arghwashier: On the affected machine using the latest build (not an older one or it is of no use to me) run Opera with -debugfont and print the output here or send it to me in a personal message. Thanks in advance!

$ opera -debugfont

It seems fixed already with opera-10.53-6330.x86_64.linux (note I didn't run any updates for mandriva between last time)
