How to stop 'Inspect Element' or blue boxes on a page

This isn't really a bug, just me not knowing how to do something I think.

I accidentally clicked on the 'Inspect Element' option when I had the right-click menu open. It made parts of the page I was looking at a transparent blue, and when I move the mouse it seems to separate the page into boxes/frames that will darken as if selected according to where the mouse is. It also doesn't appear to be letting me follow links or actually do anything on the page. I closed the tab and thought it was done with, but when I closed and reopened opera later the first tab selected had these blue boxes again.

I've tried googling, searched the opera knowledge base, and searched these forums but haven't found anything much about the 'Inspect Element' option. Unless of course that isn't what is causing this. Whatever the case, I just want to know how to turn it off/stop it.

Click on the close window button at the top right of the frames.

Inspect Element really should not be on the default menus in my opinion — it is only used by web developers, and will only lead to problems like this for ordinary users.
