Suggestions for tasks, rules and group in general

Members and incidental ramblers. Please post here for your suggestion for this group. What should be the rules look like, what the group should do and how it should be done.

A few suggestions:

Group members could aim to post monthly photography projects. Each member could have their album, where they should post approximately 10 photographs per month. Each monthly project should be tagged according the project. Everyone should post only photos taken by themselves to avoid copyright infringement issues.

Even better if members could also write a blog article for each of their project, where they would use their photos. For example I have an idea to shoot backyards of buildings since back side of buildings often look very different than the main facades.

Peeps could have shared projects, where they either write their own article on same topics or write a collaborative article where they use photos tagged for the same project or theme.

I planned to start my album on May, and start taking pictures of backyards wink

I think the current layout is just fine, but maybe we could change the menus a little. Something like I have on my personal MyOpera pages. Is the photo on top taken by you Nils? If not, then I suggest we change it to make sure not to use "stolen" picture smile

Lets change the banner then, do you have some nice photo for it? I will search my archive.
Maybe change the rules a bit.
My project would be some sort of abstract urban landscapes....
But first to work today....support mentally handicapped. Then 14 day's off...cheers

I love the idea! If I understand - there is no time limit for photos, in terms of date. You mentioned that the 'thin line' between street photography and photography urban landscape .. Well, now, I'm not totally sure how it should look like, but I would like to try ..
I hope you do not mind ...
I hope you are willing to help me!smile

Yes, no time limit is probably the best bigsmile So, let's just have project albums. And like said before, peeps can have albums on same projects as well, like 'remains of war time' or 'presence of military in city'. Today I try to get some shots about 'backyards of public buildings' smile

EDIT:

Yeah I agree, no time limits. Time to over think your concept or photo project. Urban landscape photography must be like ZEN. Breath deep in and out. Enjoy the travel.wink

Temporary issue it was wink

By the way, I decided to change my plan a little. I will stick to few subjects, therefore I changed my album description a little. I will shoot backyards in general, not just public buildings. I find all kinds of backyards fascinating smile Another theme I have considered to start is 'playgrounds'.

Greetings everyone,`

This group is cool. The theme and the pictures are amazing. star

So I see irczas uploads pictures in albums, while Nils and Sami do so in blog posts... Is there a reason why?

Are you guys doing collaborative projects, as well, for instance, 'playground installations throughout the world'? I think it would take the group a level higher and make it even more interesting.

Hi Frugale,

That is a good idea, doing collaborative projects. There is no reason why I only blog post. I will submit a picture album soon.
So I am curious to see your picture album.

Greetings,

Nils

I'm not sure if we can have shared albums and if it's a good idea. If shared album is possible, then we have to make sure we start adding the information about the author, otherwise we soon become confused what each of us have uploaded. But let us find out, and try to open something like 'Playgorunds' album for photos that each of us have taken. What do you think?

EDIT: I checked it and it looks like we just canät have shared albums without several serious side effects and issues. Therefore I suggest we still keep on having our personal albums only. Then we can either stick with one theme in one album, or have album for mixed pictures. Howeve, I wish that each of us would try to use shared tags to describe the photos.

I agree TO STAY with our personal albums. Used shared tags is in my opinion a better option.
