Opera Link and Mini Syncing

I love Opera, and the Opera Link feature. I've recently installed Opera Mini on my iPhone since the release on Apple's App Store, but one thing that I find quite annoying is that when syncing bookmarks you have to drag your Opera desktop folders/bookmarks into the Opera Mini bookmark folder.

First and foremost this wasn't very intuitive. Firstly, I tried syncing my bookmarks and with slight frustration couldn't get it to work. Opera desktop seemed to sync fine with my account, but they weren't showing up in Opera Mini? Why? So I had a little search around Google, and found out that first, I had to create a bookmark within Opera Mini, to get the Opera Mini folder to show itself in Opera Link. It almost feels like you're 'tricking' Opera Link.

So now that I had my folder, it was of some dismay that I found out I had to duplicate my bookmarks from Opera Desktop into the Opera Mini folder, just to get them to show up on my phone. Sounds a bit silly to me, everything else about Opera is so... Easy, and intuitive. But the way that this functions isn't so hot, or 'Opera-like'.

So, does anyone know if there any plans to change how the syncing of Opera Link works with Opera Mini? It would be really nice to just show your desktop bookmarks on your phone, without the unnecessary 'Opera Mini' folder.

I have a similar issue. Opera Mini 5 on my Nokia 6131 doesn't sync bookmarks, and the speed dial gets messy when I make any change on my mac. Recently I changed some of these speed dial pages on my mac and the phone's Opera appears not to understand what happened, it made only some of the changes. For instance, I shows one of the pages twice, and some wrong images, like Yahoo with the preview of IMDB.com

Any idea?

Cant wait till firefox comes out for androids. Opera doesn't have features to backup/export passwords or bookmarks and clearly no restore/import. Come on even IE can do that.....
