Huge memory leaks (10.51 Build: 3315)
HelloI don't know whether this was mentioned before or not, but the most recent version has surprisingly high memory usage after hours of work. Like up to 2 GB of RAM. And this is not something virtual, it really affects the performance, especially of the browser itself. So far, as Task Manager says, Opera has the most intensive memory usage of all programs in my system.
YUP!
Same thing here. I've seen my Opera memory above 500,000 KB.
And it's not my desktop either. I am running:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz
ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit
And 4 GB of high performance RAM
Opera Version information
Version
10.53
Build
3374
Platform
Win32
System
Windows NT 6.0
XHTML+Voice
Plug-in not loaded
Opera freezes up requires a second click on links before it will load the page quickly and try using it on a banking website!
I don't know about others but I'm going back to Firefox!
Opera is slowly becoming a pile of bricks inside my machine that is weighing it down and not preforming like it did some 5 years ago when I changed to it.
I used to have Opera icons on my websites because I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Now, I won't recommend to anyone!
