Upgrading breaks stuff...again.
Why is it every time I upgrade Opera many of my settings are gone, the appearance changes, etc. etc.? Now I can't even read any of the menu/toolbar choices, as many areas on the screen are just black. The welcome to opera box is black, with one red O in the top left and the only option availabe is "Opera Software". I tire of this battle everytime it's upgrade time.Switch to the standard skin, then find a new skin from the Appearance dialogue, skins, get new skins, that is compatible with Opera 10.5x
Many things have changed since your skin was made: Opera Link, Unite, Turbo, and transparent tabs over the Windows title bar.
If you find it tiresome, install the new version alongside the old one and make the adjustment gradually when you're not actually trying to do some work.
Change is the unavoidable cost of progress.
