Can Opera block certain pages from loading without warning or explanation?
I just discovered that one particular page on one of my sites completely refuses to load in Opera 10.51. Nothing happens if I try to access it by clicking a link from another page, and if I enter the URL in the address field, I just get a blank white page. The content of the site makes it entirely unsuitable for posting on this forum, so I unfortunately can't illustrate the issue, but I've obviously looked through the source code for obvious problems, as well as rechecked the incoming links from other pages. Considering I haven't had the problem with this page in previous Opera versions - and it's currently loading fine in IE and Chrome - I haven't actually been able to figure out what might be going on here.
The only crazy theory I've been able to come up with, is that certain security measures in Opera might check a page before it starts loading it (and before even unloading a page with an incoming link), and if some element on the page is flagged as not secure, Opera simply refuses to load the page?
Assuming that theory isn't as far fetched as it sounds to me, the only thing I can think of that might quality are a few outgoing links (using php redirects) on said page are pointing to a site that a few months back had a problem where it actually was blocked by some browsers (though with a warning page, not just a case of nothing happening) because it had been flagged by certain security authorities as containing spyware/malware/whatever. I'm pretty sure they got that sorted out though, as it was an unwarranted blocking.
But anyway, is there anything that can indeed make Opera just plain block certain pages and links without warning or explanation? And if so, is there something I can do to turn it off in my own browser, and more importantly, find a way to fix it so my Opera traffic doesn't run into the same problem?
