Government Curiosities
While visiting our local home improvement store today my attention was drawn to several dark blue utility styled pickups and one large satellite / communications truck ( Large Dish ) all outfitted with winches , Off road equipment and government tags with no insignia of a dept. they are allocated from . All sitting there in a Holiday Inn Suites that's adjacent to the home improvement store , A couple of military looking guys in jogging pants and shorts lumbering around in the parking lot around the vehicles . It brought to mind a conversation I had recently with a guy who owns a construction company whom was bidding on a multi million dollar contract to refurbish a local airfield that was decommissioned in the mid seventies after being used for over seas flight transport by the military , This runway is massive and served as a junkyard for cargo and commercial flight jets until recently . I live a hour away from a big military base with a large airborne division and multiple large runways , Why the build up and what is the purpose of government trucks ? I'm not prone to paranoia but this little town in which I currently live is in the middle of the wilderness and swamp and the airport is virtually unknown to anyone other than the locals . Anybody care to guess what might be the reason behind this .U.S.A.F. Command /control..

Hadn't considered that one Maxxthrust , Just thought all this was deserving of some attention . I'm guessing H.A.R.P is gonna be relocated here before the Aliens from planet X and the Russians invade Alaska . Seriously though , I'm no stranger to government pork barrel projects but this crosses the line of WTF .
