new windows don't stay in its position, they override config settings and go cascade
hi there!i thought it was a beta problem, but i see its still here...
i already posted for bug, but i just put it here for if someone knows how to fix it:
when opening a new window, instead of maximizing, it goes one a bit lower every time, and you hve to manually put it in place.
i tried to change opera:config --> new windows, all options, and didnt work. If somebody knows a workaroud please tell me how to do it.
in older versions it went allright, i dont know why it happens now.
i add a screen...

also, 2button-click back and forward doesnt work, too bad because it was really useful. If somebody has tried tweaking the mouse config, please post it!
thanks
This is the correct behavior on Mac. The window manager doesn’t really cater that much to users who want to always maximize their windows. But this is a platform issue. Though Apple seams to be doing something weird only for Safari. We may look into changing this behavior as well for future releases. But for how, this is how things work, unfortunetly.
You could allow scripts to change window sizes (Preferences:Advanced:Content:JavaScript options), and then use a UserJS that would always maximize the window. A bit messy workaround, but it would solve your problem.

thanks danaleks! i'll check the js option, but i'm not very keen on that... lets see if i can make it go allright. also, in my frustration with this issue, i checked if there was any software to do that for me, but no luck.
anyway, i'm quite sure older versions don't do that, so i don't understand it happens like this now. In fact i still have opera 9 here, i just tried it, and works perfect: new windows stay in its place, not every one of them lower and righter than the one before. I'd switch back to v 9, but i'd loss 3 fingers gesture that i use a lot and other new things...
while it was 10.5 beta, i had hope, but i don't know if i'm gonna wait for next version! its sad for me because i've been using (and installing on other people's pc, and promoting it to everyone i know) for many, many years, also in different OS's, and that i can remember, is the first time that i'm unhappy with the browser. I say that just to let you and other devs who may read this, that i'm very thankful for your hard work and i think that, even with these issues, it's the best browser out there. so keep on getting it better! ;D
so thats it.. version 9 goes allright in this aspect.. so maybe we can check it out.. if i can help in smth else please let me know!
