Provide an Opera Classic View Option
Include an option, somewhere, to get an Opera screen, keyboard, and menus as they were around 9.2 or thereabouts, for "Classic Opera View."How this would be done is less important than that it be an obvious choice, either in the install, or an Opera Classic link on the default screen. Even multiple choices on the toolbars and shortcuts would be a help if instructions could be found.
Am I correct that this can be done in Opera ini files? Has anything been done in Opera that makes this backward compatibility impossible?
It would take quite a bit of time, but you could modify your menus to have (most of the) same options as 9.2... there's already the "9.2 Compatible" set for Keyboard shortcuts (Preferences - Advanced - Shortcuts)... but as for the interface, <a href="http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/info/?id=8106">here</a> is a somewhat recent "9.2 for 10" skin... but really... the ultimate choice is <a href="http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?os=windows&ver=9.27&local=y">these</a> <a href="http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?os=mac&ver=9.27&local=y">little</a> <a href="http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?os=linux-i386&ver=9.27&local=y">applications</a>.
