Cant get player to play since the last two Opera updates.

I can't get the online XM radio player to work eve since Opera did the new updates. The online XM player pretty much just worked with windows media player. Anybody know how to get this to work again?

Guess I can take a stab at it. Where is "the online XM radio player" located? Do you need to log in? Is it free?

Eh... check your images; you need to upload them. I don't subscribe to XM so I cannot register for an account. Have you tried reinstalling Windows Media Player?

Do you use "block content" on websites? Do your other plug-ins work (e.g. Flash, Quicktime, etc)? If your other plug-ins work, try going to Preferences > Advanced > Downloads, uncheck "Hide file types opened with Opera", look for application/asx, application/x-mplayer2, and audio/x-ms-*. Double-click on each of them one at a time, and see what they are set to open with. Mine says Plugin: "Windows Media Player Dynamic Link Library".

Yeah, everything else works fine. I didn't see any files like the one you mentioned in Preferences > Advanced > Downloads but i think the "Hide file types opened with Opera" fixed it. Thanks!

Are you using Quick Prefs (F12)? Instead, try going to OperaButton > Settings > Preferences > Advanced > Content and changing it there.

Wow. Very strange. Maybe it's an outside process then, like a third party utility that you're running. Or maybe some kind of malware.

Try this. It is a FF plugin, but it can also be used for Opera. It worked for me to get WMP to work better:

That didn't work and its doing the same thing in the Safari Browser. Unchecking the advanced preferences box doesn't fix it anymore.
