Windows Media Player is fine it works in all the other browsers except Opera.
The first one is what it looks like in other browsers the other is what it looks like in Opera.

Do you use "block content" on websites? Do your other plug-ins work (e.g. Flash, Quicktime, etc)? If your other plug-ins work, try going to Preferences > Advanced > Downloads, uncheck "Hide file types opened with Opera", look for application/asx, application/x-mplayer2, and audio/x-ms-*. Double-click on each of them one at a time, and see what they are set to open with. Mine says Plugin: "Windows Media Player Dynamic Link Library".
Yeah, everything else works fine. I didn't see any files like the one you mentioned in Preferences > Advanced > Downloads but i think the "Hide file types opened with Opera" fixed it. Thanks!

Try this. It is a FF plugin, but it can also be used for Opera. It worked for me to get WMP to work better:

That didn't work and its doing the same thing in the Safari Browser. Unchecking the advanced preferences box doesn't fix it anymore.
