problem with redraw option in browsing tab
Hello,I have a chat web application , which creates a connection with server and polls server after every 5 seconds to poll data.
When I run the chat web application on opera , the chat page goes on continuously refreshing up the page and continue till I either stops loading of page or closes the browser.
While investigating the issue, I encounter the "loading" option located inside
"tools-preferences-advanced-browsing-loading" .
The options is by default as load after every 1 second.
Due to this option , my chat web application goes on refreshing itself after every one second. This causes the page to run like a infinite loop refreshing cycle.
When I change the loading option to redraw page instantly , my page runs cool .
So I want to ask , is there any option , to set "loading" option's value to "redraw instantly" by default on start of browser. OR something I could make change in (JavaScript/jsp)code to check/set this option OR any alternate solution that would help me in dealing with this problem.
thanks in advance
Ani
All that option does is regulate how long it lasts before things are drawn on the screen. Some people thinks it feels slower when things build up, so to speak, than when it's all drawn at once after a second. I for one thinks the latter feels much, much slower. Anyway, like I said, that doesn't really sound related to me.
