Problem with magic wand and facebook
Version10.51
Build
3315
Platform
Win32
System
Windows NT 6.1
Does anyone know what's wrong with the password manager in the new opera 10.52 browser? it saves my facebook?
password, but when i click the password wand at the top it doesn't work. when i click it, it takes me to another login page and doesn't log me in like it used to. i was using 10.51 and had no problems until i upgraded to 10.52 and that's when the problem started. i went back to 10.51, and even 10.50, and now their also doing the same thing when they didn't do it before. my facebook password is the only password i'm having a problem with. the password wand works fine with all of my passwords except facebook. is it my computer, opera or something facebook is doing? thanks!!!
This isn't because of 10.52 as it happened to me before I upgraded. I assume that Facebook have changed their front page and Opera no longer recognises it. This used to happen allot in the olden days, back when I was still an Opera virgin and using Firefox.
Click on the big O and go to Settings:Preferences then password manager. Here delete anything that mentions Facebook (there will be several). Then log back into Facebook and save the password. Voila!

Interesting. Also if you type a letter into the username box and then press the magic wand it works fine. It's still all very confusing.
This reminds me of a problem I had with Mail.com in 2009 where I had the same issue with the same resolution, i.e. type something in the username box before clicking on the wand.

i am having the same problem. it seems all my other saved passwords work, just not facebook. i also have the button that tells you the password you have saved, and it says
''<www.facebook.com>
Passwords in forms on this page:
*password*"
and sends me to the login attempt 1 page.

Add me to the list.

It's a bit drastic as a workaround, but if you turn off JavaScript, you can sign in using the magic wand.
F12 > uncheck "Enable JavaScript" > magic wand [Facebook loads] F12 > check "Enable JavaScript" (to get back your functionality). 2 keystrokes and 3 clicks. Probably faster than manually entering everything.

awesome! that fixed it. i have 2 different accounts on facebook and it was a pain in the ass to have to enter the info every time
Anyone using opera 11 or later and has extensions would be well worth looking at the last pass extension.
