Warning from Facebook about a suspicious access from an Opera IP in Norway

I was checking out the new Opera Mini for iPhone, and tried to login into my Facebook. I received a warning about a possible fraudulent access on my iPhone, because it was from an unfamiliar place, asking to login first on my computer. There, I was presented a page to confirm my Facebook account access from an IP address originating from Norway. I forgot to do a screen shot when this happened, and now I can't reproduce it of course. I never was in Norway, so of course this wasn't from me. An IP lookup reveals that IP address in Norway belongs to the Opera company.

Is the Opera Mini browser sending home all websites addresses I visit, and Opera servers in Norway are accessing my Facebook account??? I don't see any other explanation to this story. These are important privacy issues, I really don't like that, and won't use or recommend Opera Mini until I receive an explanation.

Yes. That's the way Opera Mini works. All pages are transcoded from HTML to Opera Binary Markup Language (OBML) which reduces the amount of transfered data and also greatly simplifies the processing on the phone.

All communication between the server and the phone is encrypted to prevent eavesdropping but there can't be end-to-end encryption because of the transcoding.
