Opera 10.52 has become unusable on XP Pro. machine

After a full day using the latest Opera on my XP Pro. machine it crashed, again, and again, and again. Noticed two dumprep.exe processes running in Task Manager, needed to end them before I could close Opera. Uninstalled Opera but a second version was still running. Needed a reboot and a search for all the bits of Opera still on the machine to fix things. Still Works OK for the moment on my Windows 7 machine, any thoughts ? I have to assume Windows error reporting and Opera are not getting on ? But that does not account for the Opera crash problems I've encountered.

What happened just before it crashed? With no description, we have no idea ... and actually, if you were able to close Opera then it sounds like a plugin must have crashed.

Hi sgunhouse, BetaNews was the downfall http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Opera-for-Windows/945720329/1 I had posted a glowing review of the latest version but needed to see all comments made, so I clicked on "View All Reviews" at the bottom left of the page linked. That was Operas' undoing it froze, got the Opera not responding message. As already posted needed to use Task Manager to get back to the desktop. Tried launching Opera again but this time staying well clear of BetaNews, but it made no difference, now it didn't matter which page I tried to get to, Opera froze as before. That's it really, shame as it had been going so well up until then.
