Problem with HSBC.co.uk online-banking Credit Card section
Hi,I might be barking up the wrong tree here and should really be pursuing HSBC but I'm assuming that they will simply advise me to "use another browser" so I'm attacking this issue on both fronts.
I use Opera (10.52 build) and for some time now (several versions back and possibly related to a HSBC site redesign) I am unable to open my credit card recent transactions list. I get the message:
"Please click on the Internet Banking tab at the top right of this page to continue, or try again later. (NSF)"
There is no way around this. I have cleared cookies etc... and believe this to be a compatibility problem with this particular part of the site and the Opera Browser.
This part of the site works fine in Internet Explorer.
I have raised this issue within the HSBC also.
Any help or advice on how to further troubleshoot this issue would be appreciated.
Cheers.
Try disabling JavaScript and re-enabling it when required (which was for making a payment, with my Marbles card account).
If I disable JavaScript then click the link then nothing happens. If I re-enable it click the link, get the same error again, disable it, refresh the screen then I get another error "We are unable to deal with your request. Please try again later. Select an option from the left-hand menu to continue. (ES3)"
But obviously nothing will work if Java is disabled as almost the whole site is Java based!

I can confirm this issue - which appeared at 10.50. You can access details of all your other accounts but not the credit card one. Sadly Opera had got almost there with HSBC apart from this bug. I carry on using Firefox for HSBC (the ONLY site I use Firefox for).
Sadly this is a bug that only those with a HSBC online account can see. HSBC say they support 'all modern browsers' - should include Opera!
But note, there is no JAVA on HSBC, it uses JAVASCRIPT, a totally different thing. DON'T CONFUSE THEM!
