Two questions in Opera Mail please

I have 13 'drafts' in Opera mail showing that I have not put there nor can I see them !! Just the figure 13 showing . How can I delete them and also prevent any more going in there ?

When I right click a page to 'send a link' I can't get Opera Mail to handle it and I have had to set the default to Thunderbird. Can I send a link from a webpage using Opera mail. So now when I click on a contact to compose a message Thunderbird opens instead of a new message in Opera Mail.
If I am in the mail panel and click compose then Opera mail does open .
I would like to have Opera Mail perform all the functions so that I can delete Thunderbird if possible. But when I set Opera to be the default mail I can't send a link from a webpage as nothing happens.

Thank you
Brenda

Hi Brenda,

Have you tried setting the file associations within Opera ???

Tools menu - Preferences - "Advanced" tab - click on the "Details" button......

Cheers,
David

While in the drafts view, click on the View button on the mail toolbar and goto Show and make sure "Show sent" is checked. Also, right-click in the mail panel and make sure Show Messages From is set to All so you can see drafts from all your accounts.

Also, when you delete drafts in All Messages/Drafts, the count will stay the same until you focus another view like All Messages/Trash. That's just a display/update bug.

As for preventing drafts: Opera automatically creates a draft when you're composing a message and updates it frequently. When you successfully send the message, the draft is discarded. However, if you close the compose with without sending, the draft will remain. In this case, always click Discard Draft instead of closing the compose with with the X.

If the count is still off, you can load opera:config#consistency in the address field and set it to 0 and restart. That might fix it.

CTRL + F12 -> Advanced -> programs -> details -> associate Opera with mail etc.

CTRL + F12 -> Advanced -> programs -> mailto -> edit -> Open with Opera

In drafts view 'show sent' is checked and can now see 14 drafts.
loaded opera:config#consistency figure is 1272553638 and have typed in 0 saved the changes and restarted.
Still showing 14 drafts. But managed to actually delete them and now no drafts showing
Thank you
