Font Not Cooperating

Just this past weekend, I had to reinstall Opera on my computer after having Windows reinstalled, and ever since the font has been giving me trouble. The default font looked weird so I started messing with it, and no matter what I do, I just keep making it worse! I want it displayed exactly like Internet Explorer's default font, but for the life of me I can't figure out how. I searched around and tried a few things I read but none of them worked and I tried copying from Internet Explorer, but again with making things worse. Can anyone please help me and tell me how to set the font so things like Facebook and Proboards and the like look exactly like they do in Internet Explorer?

Basically, I need this:

To look like this:

The default font in IE is set in Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Fonts. In Opera its Preferences -> Advanced -> Fonts. I think its possible things look different even with the same fonts because Opera renders font differently.. *I think* ;-)
