Opera Mini 5 for Android (Nexus1) - Opera Doesn't Always Stay Running in Background
Many times when i am multi tasking with my nexus one, opera mini will close when i switch away to do another task. for example if i am reading a web page with oepra mini, and i need to go check an email real quick, i press the home button on the nexus, read email, then go back to opera mini, and the app must re-open again and it starts from the bookmarks page. it doesnt stay on the page i was previously reading.now the majority of the time opera mini DOES stay running, and when i come back to it, my same web page is still there. 95% of the time this works correctly. but once in a while, it closes the app completely. why does this happen? is opera mini not coded correctly to save state in Android OS?
yes the nexus one currently 256MB of RAM, but when this happens i only have 30MB or so free because the way android works is it keeps everything running whether you want it to or not. when i reboot my phone and free RAM goes back up to 100MB, this issue never happens. but still, after a few days, RAM goes lower and lower, and this problem starts happening again. a linux based OS should be able to run for weeks though...
it seems like opera mini is not properly coded for android to save-state if the OS decides it needs more RAM and decides to kill opera mini. do the developers know if this is the case or how to fix it?
remember most of the time, opera DOES stay running in the background for me. but it seems like those times when i need it most, i switch away, come back and its lost my page!

ok at least I'm not the only one who has noticed this issue. the thing is most of the time it works just fine, opera mini will still be there running where I left off last. but every once in a while it just gets killed even though I only switched away from it a few seconds ago. weird.
I wonder if opera developers know about this and if a fix is possible.
