Google interested in Opera?

Google seems to have commented on Opera Browser and the use of its technology (or possible import of technology).

So is Google & Opera teaming up or being bought out?

Huh? They teamed up long ago. You may want to read up on how Opera makes money with its free browsers.

I would probably stop using Opera. I don't need Giggle looking over my shoulder.

Post seems to have been relocated or removed. Which isn't all to unusual for Google to do.

I guess we'll all have to wait & see what this was all about.

Have you stopped using Opera yet? I had to giggle at your post. Was that a Freudian slip?

This is an old article from about 2005 around the time the browser became ad-free.

Its amazing what you can find by searching with Google — though the first hit is not always the right one, of course. I hope this helps some understand why we have the Google search in the address bar by default.
