Google seems to have commented on Opera Browser and the use of its technology (or possible import of technology).http://www.google.com/intl/en/press/annc/20100429/
So is Google & Opera teaming up or being bought out?

Post seems to have been relocated or removed. Which isn't all to unusual for Google to do.

Have you stopped using Opera yet? I had to giggle at your post. Was that a Freudian slip?
This is an old article from about 2005 around the time the browser became ad-free.
Its amazing what you can find by searching with Google — though the first hit is not always the right one, of course. I hope this helps some understand why we have the Google search in the address bar by default.
