Dictionary (plugin?)

I know this isn't for everyone, but I constantly need to define new words while browsing the web, and the only feature Opera doesn't have that I used in Chrome was an extension making it possible to double click any word and get the definition in a pop-up bubble.

Now, I can think of some other variations of this that would once again make opera better than chrome:

option 1) When you double click a word, in the drop down context menu would be an option of 'Instant Dictionary' which when selected would create a floating alpha window with dictionary results.

option 2) similar, but if its easier or better in anyway, a similar option in the context menu would automatically copy that word into a dictionary widget and bring the widget into view, which would be easily closable.

The main result I'm going for is thrice:

  • Minimal keystrokes/effort to access dictionary definition
  • Minimal resources used (although my comp is outrageous anyways)
  • Dictionary Definitions pulled from a web source (many words are quirky and could be programming terms or archaic (don't ask))

For your own edification, here's the chrome plugin that fit the bill perfectly: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/mgijmajocgfcbeboacabfgobmjgjcoja (it's called google dictionary)

If anything like this already exists, please do let me know.

Tia,
Evan.

You could probably do that with UserJS.

You are probably correct, but I don't know javascript sad

I do plan on learning some things soon to make a website involving the google maps API but I don't think I'll have time to create a definition fetching java script plugin.

thanks for the suggestion though.
