Issues when trying to add contacts

I love Opera... but I seem to be having an issue adding contacts. I have over 500. I have tried all the suggested convert programs, and have had no success. coOpera keeps telling me either, invalid csv format or when trying the yahoo convert route, only 5 contacts go through. I wish there were a Plaxo Sync Point. Any advice don't hesitate to send. I normally use windows live mail. Running Windows 7.

Welcome to the My Opera community!

At mail.live.com, goto your contact list, goto manage and choose export.

Then, goto http://hallvord.com/opera/conversion1.htm and upload WLMContacts.csv. (The site is owned by an Opera employee.)

Set both "First Name" and "Last Name" to "Full Name".
Set "E-mail address" to "E-Mail".
Check "Attempt to convert input to UTF-8".
Click "Convert Now".
Close the pop-up tab.
Save as importedcontacts.adr.

Import importedcontacts.adr into Opera via File (or O-Menu -> settings) -> import and export -> import contacts.

Same things applies to a csv file from another mail client. You pick what values in the CSV file you want to use for "Full Name" and "E-mail".

Note that if you've already imported the contacts and they were messed up, delete them in the contacts panel before you try importing them again.
