IRC Issues, Frequent Disconect

Hi all,

I have been using Opera since v7, and I have recently changed from using mIRC to Opera Chat as my IRC client.

I am having a number of issues with Opera Chat that I would like to find workarounds for, as I do not want to go back to using mIRC.

My main issue is that I am frequently disconnected from the chat server I am connected to. Is there a way to stop Opera disconnecting.

I am using a bouncer service to connect to my irc server (psybnc) but I get the disconnects while connecting directly too. This happens at work and at home, so the internet connection is not the issue.

Is there a way to tell opera to reconnect when it disconnects? Or just stop it from disconnecting?

I'm having no joy connecting to any chat room at all - I get 'join chat room' and almost immediately, 'disconnected from chat' - is opera chat a tad flakey?

Rubbish. I asked this question in May, it's now almost August.

If there's a problem, file a bug explain it and with what server. Also, mention this thread in the report and post the bug number here minuse the @... part.

I don't use IRC much, so I don't have really anything to add.
